Youth-Led Organization Lifesavors Coordinator, Social Activist, and Journalist Sehrish Khan recently participated in a conference related to the agenda of Gender Equality and Youth Empowerment held by Women Deliver (NGO) in Kigali Rwanda. 


Sehrish met with the president of Women Deliver Dr. Maliha Khan and presented her traditional “Ajrak” of Pakistan. On that occasion, Maliha said that “ I am pleased to see the youth of Pakistan take interest in these kinds of social issues like, 

  • Gender-Based Equality
  • Reproductive Health
  • Youth Empowerment

Youth of any country are the future leaders of their nation, So that is why it is important to educate them about these issues which are facing every country and this is the time to bring change in our society and to open up their minds and gathered to get the better solution of these humans issues and providing them an equal right and freedom for doing whatever they want to do for bring the positive change in the society.


The participant from 170 countries including youngsters, journalists,s and scholars gathered to advance gender equality and reproductive health and rights for women and girls.



The President and CEO of Women Deliver Dr. Maliha Khan highlighted the importance of gender equality and supporting the rights of women and girls and empowering them to bring positive change in communities. 


Maliha also emphasized the role of youth in the modern community and aims to facilitate them through knowledge, resource, and providing leadership to achieve the goals related to gender equality and reproductive health, and youth empowerment.



 Key outcomes of the conference are:


  1. New Funding Facility from Open Society Foundation.

  2. Close the Gender Nutrition Gap.

  3. Launching "Respect Women" website to address the violence against women and girls.
